Azteca Can Add to Time Warner Carriage

Hispanic network Azteca America said it signed an agreement with Time Warner Cable that could lead to carriage in areas where the network is not carried by an over-the-air station.

In markets where Azteca America has a broadcast affiliate, it can already claim a spot on the cable operator’s lineup via must-carry rules.

The MSO will also add Azteca America programming to its free on-demand menu.

The network, owned by TV Azteca of Mexico, currently claims a presence in 52 Hispanic U.S. TV markets.
