The 2006 Asian Excellence Awards Featuring the Remy Martin X.O Honors will air on AZN Television Jan. 29, the network said Thursday.
The event will be taped Jan. 19 at the Wiltern Theatre in Hollywood.
Categories will include :Outstanding TV Performance,” “Outstanding Film Performance,” “Outstanding Feature Filmmaker,” “Outstanding Live Performance,” “Outstanding Athletic Performance,” “Outstanding Fashion Designer” and “Outstanding Newcomer.”
“This is an exciting time for Asian Americans in this country,” AZN senior vice president of programming and production Peilin Chou said in a prepared statement. “Many are involved in such groundbreaking roles and achieving extraordinary excellence in their individual fields. As the television home for Asian America, I couldn't be more excited about bringing an event of this magnitude to television.”
