Cox Business Services has approved Arris Group Inc.’s “Cadant C3” cable-modem-termination system, the vendor said Monday.
Arris said the C3 is Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification 2.0-compatible and allows MSO to use 16 QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation), 64 QAM, ATDMA (asynchronous time-division multiple-access) and SCDMA (synchronous code-division multiple-access).
The vendor added that the unit can handle up to 64 virtual local-area networks.
