Hyundai Communications and Network, a South Korean cable-system operator with 1.1 million subscribers, deployed Arris’ FlexPath high-speed-data equipment.
HCN is using Arris’ Cadant C4 cable-modem-termination system in conjunction with the vendor’s Touchstone WBM650B wideband modems to deliver connection speeds up to 100 megabits per second.
"We are pleased to announce this very successful deployment proving the technical ability of the Arris wideband solution to deliver 100 mbps of service over an HFC [hybrid fiber-coaxial] network," HCN operational director Jong-Myung Joo said in a prepared statement.
