AMC Takes ShootOut on the Road

AMC’s Sunday Morning ShootOut is going on the road in 2005.

Now in its fourth season, the Hollywood dish and interview show -- featuring Mandalay Entertainment Group chairman and producer Peter Guber and Variety (a sister publication to Multichannel News) editor in chief Peter Bart -- will shoot on location at annual industry film festivals including Sundance, the U.S. Comedy Arts, Tribeca and Cannes.

AMC is also in production on two themed episodes surrounding the Golden Globes and Academy Awards shows.

“Taking ShootOut on the road is the next step in the evolution of this series,” AMC senior vice president of programming and production Rob Sorcher said. “These specials put AMC on the current pulse of movies and movie making today.”
