AMC Sets Memorial Day M*A*S*H

AMC will celebrate Memorial Day with a weekend-long movie festival featuring the world TV premiere of the digitally restored, wide-screen version of Robert Altman's Academy Award-winning movie, M*A*S*H.

The network’s "Memorial Day Movie Festival," airing May 28-30, also includes original documentary Hollywood Vietnam and screenings of Apocalypse Now Redux, G.I. Jane, Sands of Iwo Jima and Hamburger Hill, among other war-themed movies.

Bowing May 29, the digitally restored M*A*S*H -- which was originally released 35 years ago -- will air commercial-free and in the wide-screen format. Throughout Memorial Day weekend, members from the original cast -- including Sally Kellerman, Tom Skerritt and Rene Auberjonois -- will talk about their experiences via interstitials.

Premiering May 30, Hollywood Vietnam examines films centering on the war and their influences on the understanding of the conflict.
