Marking its first ties with the Golden Globe Awards and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, AMC is one of the sponsors of Miramax Films’ after-party to the awards show Sunday night.
AMC, along with Coors Brewing Co.’s Coors Light and Glamour magazine, will serve as co-hosts of the studio’s Jan. 16 party at Trader Vic’s in Hollywood.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese, Kate Beckinsale, Cate Blanchett -- stars of the Globes-nominated Aviator -- and Martin Scorsese, director of the Howard Hughes biopic, are expected to be on hand, along with Kate Winslet, Annette Bening, Jim Carrey, Mick Jagger and Ewan McGregor.
An AMC spokeswoman said the network will have a correspondent on the scene to gather information for its Tinseltown-update series, Sunday Morning Shootout, starring producer Peter Gruber and Variety editor in chief Peter Bart.
