A&E Network appointed Guy Slattery to the post of senior vice president of marketing.
In his new post, Slattery, who joins the network from National Geographic Channel International, will oversee A&E’s consumer marketing team and be responsible for brand positioning, marketing, advertising and on-air promotion strategies, strategic partnerships and promotions, plus its off-air and on-air design. He reports to A&E executive VP and general manager Bob DeBitetto.
Slattery previously was senior VP, creative and marketing at NGC International, where he was responsible for global on-air and off-air creative, communications and strategic brand marketing for all of NGCI’s channels operating across 163 international territories.
“Guy is an outstanding marketer and leader with a proven track record of critical and commercial success,” DeBitetto said in a prepared statement. “He is expert at evolving and advancing leading brands in a competitive, dynamic environment.”
