ACC Releases White Paper On Value of Local Events

The Association of Cable Communicators has released a white paper detailing the important role area events play in communications plans and how they can maximize the return on every local event dollar.

“Maximizing Returns on Local Events through Smart PR Planning” is authored by McReynolds Elek Communications, a boutique public relations firm established in 2002. With 20 years of experience, Elek specializes in strategic communications, media and community relations and special events.

The white paper is available in the November issues of ACCbriefs and on the organization’s Website at http://www.cablecommunicators.org/resources_briefs.php. It is also being distributed to ACC members via e-mail.

“The value of local events is that they serve the dual-purpose of distinguishing your company from the competition while reinforcing your organization’s image as a leader in the cable telecommunications industry,” said Steve Jones, executive director of ACC, in a statement. “This brief lays out in specific detail the strategy and tactics and that go into crafting a smart, results-oriented PR plan for a local event while ensuring the event clearly supports the company’s strategic objectives.”
