ABC Family Sets June Premiere Dates For Three New Scripted Series

ABC Family will add three original series to its programming slate this summer that it hopes will appeal to the network’s core millennial audience.

New series debuting in June include Chasing Life, a one-hour drama which stars Italia Ricci as a smart, twenty-something, aspiring journalist who tries to balance her ambitious career with her family while fighting cancer; Young & Hungry, which follows the exploits of a wealthy young tech entrepreneur, played by Jonathan Sadowski and a feisty young food blogger played by Emily Osment (Hanna Montana); and Mystery Girls (pictured), which stars Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth as two former detective TV show starlets brought back together by a real-life mystery.

The new series will join returning series Pretty Little Liars, The Fosters and Switched At Birth, which will debut new episodes in June on the network, said network officials.
