ABC Family Most Tweeted Network in January

ABC Family was a Twitter juggernaut during the month of January.

The millennials-targeted network ended the month as the most-tweeted network on television, generating 4.5 million tweets, nearly 1 million more than MTV (3.5 million), according to SocialGuide figures for January as reported by the network.

ABC Family was led by its drama series Pretty Little Liars (pictured), which was the month’s most tweeted series, generating 3.3 million tweets by more than 806,000 unique viewers. That total easily bested the 2.4 million tweets garnered by MTV’s Teen Wolf, which finished in second place, according to SocialGuide. The Jan. 14 winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars generated a record setting 1.3 million tweets for a series premiere.

The Fosters also ranked among the top 10 most-tweeted series for the month, according to ABC Family.
