The upcoming truTV series, Hack My Life, will trade on an initiative between the network and Tumblr, where viewers are encouraged to share their own life hacks.
For the first time, Tumblr’s content will be presented for production in all episodes of a weekly series. A Hack My Life hub will also be available for fans to post or search hacks on a number of topics.
"We're turning truTV into a place where creative people come to play, and the Hack My Life Tumblr hub and weekly challenges are a perfect way to reach one of the world's largest creative communities," said senior vice president of marketing and digital for truTV, Puja Vohra.
Each week will present a new best hack, to be featured on the upcoming show.
"By integrating Tumblr users into this series, we're turning Hack My Life into a truly multi-platform experience that's not only practical in terms of the many great things you can learn, but also incredibly engaging and sharable," said Vohra.
Premiering in January 2015, Hack My Life will take a new comedic look into the world of life hacks, where hosts Kevin Pereira and Brook Van Poppelen will test them out for their relevance in everyday life. Touching on a wide variety of topics, viewers will be given a multitude of ideas to aide in vacationing, parenting and much more.
