Sling TV, Dish Network’s OTT-TV service, has expanded its programming slate with the addition of Cheddar, Glenn Beck’s TheBlaze, and a Sling Kids VOD channel.
Cheddar, a 24/7 streaming service based in New York from former BuzzFeed exec Jon Steinberg that’s focused on business, media, and cultural news, is being added to Sling TV’s two core services—Sling Orange and Sling Blue.
TheBlaze is now part of Sling TV’s News Extra, a $5 per month add-on pack (formerly called World News Extra) that also features BBC World News, HLN, euronews, Fusion, France 24, NDTV 24x7, News 18 and RT Network.
The Sling Kids VOD channel, which features more than 200 titles from partners such as Kabillion, Kaboom and Splash, is part of the Kids Extra add-on pack ($5 per month) for Sling Orange and Sling Blue subs. Kids Extra also offers Disney Junior, Disney XD, Nick Jr., NickToons, Boomerang, BabyTV, ducktv, and TeenNick.
