Pluto TV Adds Content Partners to OTT Orbit

Pluto TV, a startup that has created a curated, linear-style OTT-TV service, said it has added more than 20 new content partners for a lineup that now spans more than 100 “channels.”

Announced at MIPCOM, Pluto TV said content from the following partners will be added to new or existing channels “soon”: AwesomenessTV; Comedy Time Network; Cracked; DHX Media; EuroArts; The Film Detective; GarageMonkey; Glory Sports International; IGN Entertainment; Just For Laughs; Language;  Legendary Digital Networks; NatureVision; Network A;  NewsmaxTV; Newsy; NowThis; The Onion; TYT Network;  Wochit News; and World Poker Tour.

Launched in 2014, Pluto TV supports several platforms, including Web browsers, iOS and Android devices, the Amazon Fire TV box and Fire TV stick, the Android TV-powered Nexus Player, and is optimized for the Google Chromecast streaming adapter.  Pluto TV landed a $13 million A round in November 2014 led by U.S. Venture Partners.
