Hulu has added a mix of new streaming platforms to its repertoire while also moving ahead with a new bundled offering with Spotify, the subscription music streaming service.
On the device front, Hulu said its SVOD and live TV service is now supported on all 2017, 2018 and select 2016 LG Electronics webOS-powered TVs, as well as all 2018 Samsung TVs running Tizen, and two additional Roku devices – the Roku Streaming Stick (3500) and Roku 2 (4210X).
Hulu’s new interface and live TV service is also supported on Apple TV (4th gen.), Amazon Fire TV devices, Roku devices, Xbox One, iOS and Android mobile devices, Nintendo Switch and Chromecast.
Hulu’s mass market bundle with Spotify Premium runs $12.99 per month (with Hulu’s SVOD plan with limited commercials).
To help prime the pump, existing Spotify Premium subs can get a 99 cent promotional offer to try Hulu’s limited commercial plan for three months.
That mass market deal follows an earlier bundle that Hulu and Spotify made available to students starting last fall.
