fuboTV, the sports-oriented virtual MVPD, is now selling Showtime as an add-on to its base package, Fubo Premier, for $10.99 per month.
That price matches that of Showtime’s standalone, direct-to-consumer OTT offering.
The Showtime launch via fuboTV comes on the heels of the OTT TV provider’s carriage deal with CBS, which paved the way for access to local CBS feeds in select markets, CBS Sports Network, Showtime, The CW, Pop, CBSN, and access to certain VOD content.
fuboTV’s Showtime offering includes access to nine Showtime channels (Showtime East, Showtime West, Showtime 2, Showtime Showcase, Showtime Extreme, Showtime Beyond, Showtime Next, Showtime Women and Showtime Family), support on all of fuboTV’s streaming platforms, and access to Showtime’s VOD library.
fuboTV, which is also working with tier 2/3 MVPDs that are seeking an OTT option through an agreement with the National Cable Television Cooperative, announced in October 2017 that it had more than 100,000 subscribers.
