POPULAR COMEDY SERIES "REBA," STARRING REBA MCENTIRE, AND "STILL STANDING," STARRING JAMI GERTZ, JOIN LIFETIME SCHEDULE BEGINNING MONDAY, AUGUST 7

-- "Desperate Housewives" Premieres With 1st Season Saturday, August 5 at 11pm (ET/PT) --

NEW YORK -- Continuing the expansion of its popular half hour comedy franchise that includes "Will & Grace," "Frasier" and the original series "Lovespring International" along with perennial favorite "The Golden Girls," Lifetime Television announced that "Reba" (starring Reba McEntire) and "Still Standing" (starring Jami Gertz) are joining the network's schedule Mondays-Fridays beginning Monday, August 7.

"Still Standing" airs from 12-1pm (ET/PT) and 5-6PM (ET/PT), followed by "Reba" at 1-2pm (ET/PT) and 6-7pm (ET/PT).

A centerpiece of Lifetime's new comedy programming is the hour-long Emmy Award-winning "Desperate Housewives," which premieres on Saturday, August 5 at 11pm (ET/PT), beginning with the first season.  The show stars Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria and Nicollette Sheridan in a comedic look at suburbia.

"Still Standing" features Mark Addy and Jami Gertz as former high school sweethearts raising three kids amid all the wacky ups and downs of parenthood.  The series also stars Renee Olstead, Taylor Ball, Soleil Borda and Jennifer Irwin.

On "Reba," Reba McEntire portrays a teacher and divorced mother of three who juggles career, parenthood, grandparenthood, an ex-husband and the occasional date.  The cast also includes Christopher Rich, Joanna Garcia, Melissa Peterman, Scarlett Pomers, Steve Howey and Mitch Holleman.
