Zenith Sets Up DTV Transition Site

Zenith, one of the top manufacturer of digital-to-analog converter boxes, has stepped up its education efforts by launching a new Web site to educate consumers on how to use converters once they purchase them.

The site, www.zenith.com/dtv, has a video which demonstrates how consumers scan for channels with a touch of the button on the box's remote control. The video is fully captioned and also available in Spanish. It also offers instructions for connecting the converter box to an analog TV.

The company said more than 2 million of its boxes have been shipped to retailers already, adding that consumers are redeeming the government-supplied, $40 coupons to help by the boxes at a rate of 50,000 each day.
