TVN Scores ESPN Content for VOD

TVN Entertainment Corp. has a bigger game plan for video-on-demand thanks to
a deal announced Wednesday with ESPN.

Under the deal, TVN will gain VOD distribution rights to select ESPN sports
content, including the SportsCentury series, college football, college
basketball, boxing, X Games and certain games on a time-shifted basis.

The content will be made available to TVN affiliates beginning Oct. 1

'We believe video-on-demand will become a significant force in home
entertainment over the next several years, and sports programming will be a key
driver to this business,' ESPN executive vice president of affiliate sales and
marketing Sean Bratches said in a release. 'We continue to move forward with a
strategy that shows our commitment to the industry, including broadening our
distribution platform and expanding ESPN's sports library; the world's
largest.'

The agreement is effective immediately.
