Sling TV, Dish Network’s OTT service for cord-cutters, has launched Sling Latino, an offering led up by two Spanish-language packs – Paquete Total and Paquete Esencial.
The baseline single-stream Paquete Total service, featuring 22 live channels, runs $12 per month; while Paquete Esencial, a 16-channel offering fetches $7 per month.
Both services also include on-demand content (soon to include shows from Univision), a three-day replay on select channels. They can also be paired with Sling TV’s core $20 per month English-language package, but unlike some of Sling TV’s other programming packages, it’s not a requirement.
Sling Latino customers have the option to purchase two additional streams for $5 per month.
Sling TV also introduced two country-specific a la carte packs for $7 per month each -- Colombia and España.
Those additions follow Sling TV’s launch of two Spanish language add-ons that run $5 each per month: Deportes Extra, which now includes ESPN Deportes; and Películas & Novelas Extra. Those packages, however, require that subs take Sling TV’s core English language service.
“Whether viewers are solely interested in Spanish-language programming or are looking to supplement an English line-up with a few Spanish channels, Sling Latino is a flexible, affordable and mobile way to connect viewers with the best of Latino programming,” said Roger Lynch, Sling TV CEO. “Providing this connection remains fundamental to who we are, and we have been eager to give Hispanic viewers a new and contemporary way to watch Spanish-language TV.”

Paquete Esencial ($7 per month): Azteca, Az Clic, Cinelatino, De Película, De Película Clásico, BabyTV, Cbeebies, beIN Sports en Español, Pasiones, Univision tlnovelas, Az Corazón, Telehit, Bandamax, FOROtv. AZ Cinema and Teleromántica will be added soon.
Colombia Pack ($7 per month, as a standalone pack, or as an add-on to Paquete Total, Paquete Esencial or the Best of Live TV English core pack. It): Nuestra Tele and NTN24, with RCN Novelas coming soon.
España Pack ($7 per month, as a standalone pack, or as an add-on to Paquete Total, Paquete Esencial or the Best of Live TV English core pack): Antena 3 and TV Española Internacional. MIS Películas and SupereÑe will be coming soon.
