Sling TV Refreshes Xbox One UI
Following recent work with Microsoft, Sling TV said it has launched a new interface for Xbox One gaming consoles, and that the OTT TV service now comes pre-loaded on Windows 10 devices.
On the Xbox One, the new UI’s My TV view is now the user’s personal home screen, where they can add favorite networks to “My Channels” for quick, one-click access to specific networks. Also new is a “Continue Watching” ribbon that lets subs pick up where left off, as well as an “On Now” tab that provides quick access to all shows currently airing.
On the Windows 10 front, the pre-loaded version of Sling TV, which gives the OTT TV service more exposure, offers access to its full lineup, including individual tiers such as Sling Orange, Sling Blue, the Best of Spanish TV, and Sling TV’s slate of international TV offerings.
Dish Network does not break out Sling TV subscribers, but Leichtman Research Group estimates that Sling TV ended 2016 with 1.18 million subscribers.
