Shaw Offers CraveTV for $6 Per Month

Shaw Communications’s cable and satellite TV subs will have direct access to CraveTV, a subscription streaming service, for $6 per month after striking a deal with Bell Media.

Shaw, which backs competitive subscription streaming service shomi via a partnership with Rogers Communications, will offer CraveTV on multiple platforms, including its FreeRange TV app, which is powered by Comcast’s X1 platform, as well as CraveTV’s apps for iOS, Android, Apple TV, the web (www.craveTV.ca) and Samsung smart TV and Blu-ray players.

CraveTV offers more than 11,000 “assets,” including more than 300 series, and counts HBO and Showtime among its content anchors. It’s also offered via partners that include Eastlink, Telus Optik TV, Bell Fibe TV, Bell Satellite TV, Bell Aliant FibreOP TV,Access Communications, Northwestel, SaskTel, Cable Cable, Hay Communications, Mitchell Seaforth Cable TV, Tuckersmith Communications, Wightman Telecom, NRTC Communications, WTC Communications, Tbaytel, Execulink Telecom, and VMedia.
