NCTA Mourns Dobson’s Death

E. Dan Dobson, founder and chairman of Dobson & Associates, the convention-management firm that helps the National Cable & Telecommunications Association to manage the National Show, died March 16 after a long fight with cancer.

Dobson had managed his firm's involvement in the National Show since founding it in 1978, and he was also involved with the California Cable and Telecommunications Association's Western Show and the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association’s annual confab.

“Dan has played a critical role over the years in whatever success the National Show has enjoyed,” NCTA senior vice president and chief administrative officer, industry affairs and administration Barbara York said in a prepared statement. “His wisdom and grace will be sorely missed.”
