Moxi Mastermind Hands Over CEO Reins

Now that his baby is born, Moxi Digital Inc. founder Steve Perlman is handing
over day-to-day leadership to a new CEO.

Perlman has tapped Rita Brogley, the company's vice president of business
development, to take over as president and CEO. Perlman will take up a position
on the company board as vice chairman and advisor.

Palo Alto, Calif.-based Moxi came out of stealth mode in January, showing off
its software and hardware design for satellite and cable digital set-top boxes

manufacturers to build the boxes.

The boxes will act as home entertainment centers, able to handle video, audio
and Internet files.

A former founder of WebTV Networks Inc. before selling the company to
Microsoft Corp., Perlman had been working on the Moxi entertainment hub for more

The company has investors including EchoStar, Cisco Systems Inc., AOL Time
Warner Inc. and Paul Allen-backed Vulcan Ventures Inc.

In handing over the CEO title, Perlman says he is not taking an exit route
from the company.

'I'm committed to continuing to support Rita and the Moxi team in my board
capacity, but I'm looking forward to finally having the time to dig into
creative projects at Rearden Steel Studios,' he said in a release.

'Moxi has a great future ahead with its talented team, strong products and
leadership position in the home entertainment space,' he
