Mediacom Communications Corp. bought a virtual-studio system for its largest
production facility in Des Moines, Iowa, and it plans to launch a national
monthly series later this month.
The series, dubbed Digital Connection, is a half-hour program hosted
by Anne Rezak and focusing on the digital-cable services Mediacom offers. It
will air at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays to all of the MSO’s cable subscribers on their
local Mediacom channels.
Shot in standard-definition digital format, the show will be shot using a
group of virtual sets, giving Mediacom the ability to adjust the background to
