KlowdTV Goes Live on Apple TV

Expanding its reach to another TV-connected platform, KlowdTV has recently launched its service on the new app-friendly Apple TV.

In addition to its recent launch on Apple TV, KlowdTV also supports Web browsers, Android and iOS mobile devices, Roku players, Amazon Fire TV, Sony and Hisense smart TVs, TiVo DVRs, and Samsung Blu-ray players and other devices that support OperaTV’s app platform. The expansion helps KlowdTV extend a bridge to a new, increasingly popular platform, but it will be challenged to stand apart from the crowd -- Apple CEO Tim Cook announced last week that Apple TV now supports more than 3,600 apps.

KlowdTV, which recently introduced a cloud DVR service that starts at an extra $1 per month, has also begun to distribute Estrella TV, a Spanish-language television network owned by Liberman Broadcasting. According to KlowdTV’s current product mix, Estrella TV is offered on Canales Latinos, a $3 per month channel package that also features Canalamerica, Canal Antiestres, TLR, and Hola TV, among others.
