Hulu Names Former YouTube Exec Senior VP of Content Partnerships

Hulu has announced the hiring of veteran digital content executive Heather Moosnick as senior VP of content partnerships.

At her new job at the jointly owned SVOD service, Mosaic will drive Hulu’s content acquisition strategy across its live and on demand programming slates—from library series and movies to current network television shows and emerging content opportunities.

Moosnick will lead Hulu’s content and network acquisition team and will work closely with the company’s originals, marketing, product and technology leadership teams. She’ll start on Nov. 12 and report directly to Hulu CEO Randy Freer

“Heather is a highly strategic, creative and relationship-oriented executive who has spent her entire career driving change and innovation,” said Freer, in a statment. “As Hulu looks to transition television from a gatekeeper-driven experience to one that’s led by the consumer, Heather’s leadership and fearless approach to evolving antiquated business rules make her a perfect fit for our team.”

Moosnick joins Hulu from Google, where she most recently served as head of global business development, strategy and content partner management for YouTube TV. Moosnick also previously held posts at Warner Music Group and CBS Interactive
