Hulu Greenlights Comedy Series ‘Casual’

Hulu has tapped Up In The Air director Jason Reitman to produce a half-hour comedy series Casual, the OTT service said Thursday.

The series follows the story of a bachelor brother and his newly divorced sister living under roof and raising a teenager. Reitman will serve as executive producer and direct the premiere episode of the  series, which will debut on Hulu in 2015.

“Jason Reitman uniquely blends comedy and drama in a way that touches the human spirit,” said Craig Erwich, Senior Vice President and Head of Content for Hulu in a statement. “We are honored to work with him to bring the next distinctive voice, Zander Lehmann, to television.”
