The Board of Trustees for New Hyde Park on New York’s Long Island authorized Verizon Communications to offer its FiOS TV service in a Tuesday-night vote.
The telco will compete with incumbent cable operator Cablevision Systems in New Hyde Park, which will become its 37th market in New York state.
