EarthLink Links with Best Buy

EarthLink Inc. is buying into more retail marketing, forging a deal to sell
its high-speed Internet services in more than 400 Best Buy Co. Inc. outlets
nationwide.

As a special promotion, customers who sign up there for
digital-subscriber-line or cable-modem service through the end of the year will
receive one month of free service.

Each store will be equipped with a self-serve interactive station, where
customers can enter their phone number and find out if they are qualified to
receive broadband service from EarthLink.

'The retail channel has proven to be a great way for us to reach new
customers, particularly with our high-speed services, so working with an
industry leader like Best Buy is a big opportunity for us,' said Kevin Flaherty,
vice president of retail-channel sales at EarthLink.
