DirecTV Now to Sell Starz
Expanding on its premium programming slate, DirecTV Now will offer eight Starz Encore channels when AT&T’s OTT-TV service launches later this month.
DirecTV Now, which will start at $35 per month, has not announced pricing on the premium offering. However, DirecTV will be adding more channels to the service, including the flagship Starz channel, at a later date, as well as the full Starz and Starz Encore VOD catalogs, which include current and past seasons of Starz originals.

They said distribution on DirecTV was part of a new multi-year- deal between Starz and AT&T/DirecTV.
Information posted on the Web about DirecTV Now that has since been removed showed that those subs will also have the option to add HBO and Cinemax.
Speaking on Starz’s Q3 call late last month, company CEO Chris Albrecht said Starz was nearing 1 million OTT subs, coming way of its digital distribution deal with Amazon and a standalone OTT offering launched earlier this year.
DirecTV Now will launch later this month and offer a lineup of more than 100 channels.
