Convergys Fits Bill for Cox

Billing and customer-care-management provider Convergys Corp. has landed a
three-year, $29 million contract with Cox Communications Inc. to provide
technical support services for the MSO's high-speed Internet subscribers.

Convergys has been providing billing systems to Cox since 1996. The new
contract will add voice, electronic-mail and live-chat technical support to the
customer-care package.

'Our long-standing association with Convergys gives us confidence as we
expand the relationship to work together more closely,' said Kimberly Edmunds,
Cox's vice president of customer-service support, in a prepared statement.

'Convergys complements our customer-centric philosophy by ensuring that Cox
customers have responsive and reliable assistance to answer questions and to
help resolve issues quickly,' she added.
