Conexant Systems Inc. tapped Lewis Brewster to take over as general manager of its broadband-media-processing business, replacing Jeff Crosby, who is leaving the company.
Brewster, who is also executive vice president and chief operating officer, will now oversee the broadband-media unit, which provides silicon products for set-top boxes, digital televisions and PC video processing. He will retain his responsibilities for operations, quality and information technology, reporting to chairman and CEO Dwight W. Decker.
Conexant also hired Sailesh Chittipeddi as its new senior VP of global operations. With a resume that includes positions with Agere Systems Inc., Lucent Technologies Inc. and AT&T Microelectronics, Chittipeddi will be in charge of global supply planning and supplier-relationship management.
Based in Newport Beach, Calif., Conexant provides semiconductor products for broadband communications and digital home networks.
