Concurrent Tunes In to Ad Technology

Concurrent Computer Corp. will license Everstream's digital-cable-advertising
software and make an investment in the company under a deal announced
Thursday.

The two companies have created an interface that will make Cleveland-based
Everstream's '54 Campaign Director' ad-insertion software compatible with
Concurrent's 'MediaHawk' video servers. The interface will be installed on all
future MediaHawk servers.

Concurrent will also supply a $500,000 equity investment in Everstream.

Everstream's managed ad-insertion technology provides a central control point
across multiple interactive-television applications including video-on-demand,
interactive program guides, personal video recorders and digital set-top-box
middleware.

This will flesh out the advertising capabilities for Concurrent's 'Personal
TV' interactive-TV product.

'We expect that the developing model for 'everything-on-demand' will have a
significant advertising component, and leveraging Everstream's core interactive
and targeted-advertising intellectual property into Concurrent's VOD system will
give our customers access to a new incremental-revenue opportunity,' Concurrent
president and CEO Jack Bryant said in a prepared statement.

'We intend to promote the Everstream standard for ad delivery within digital
systems worldwide,' he added.
