BellSouth Corp. will continue to let EarthLink Inc. ride its digital-subscriber-line service through 2008 under an extended agreement announced Tuesday.
Under an existing partnership, EarthLink offers Internet-service-provider service to BellSouth DSL customers, including e-mail, content and Internet-service tools.
Terms for the extended agreement were not released, but the new pact gives EarthLink the ability to offer a 3-megabit-per-second DSL service “at competitive rates,” according to the release.
