AT&T Union Local Releases Rap Single: 'Get Ready to Strike'

Nearly a week after AT&T’s major contracts expired with the Communications Workers of America, the parties continue to wrangle over the terms of the union’s contract covering close to 100,000 workers.

CWA members who are AT&T employees have already authorized a strike, if need be. Now, one of the union’s locals has released a rap song (and ringtone) called “Get Ready to Strike” in the event that they’ll end up “walking the line,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

“Protect my health care, don’t lower my wages / Realize, recognize, mobilize, stay alive,” the union members who recorded the tune chant in the song.
