HBO Sets August Premiere for 'A Black Lady Sketch Show'

HBO will debut its new late night series A Black Lady Sketch Show on Aug. 2.

A Black Lady Sketch Show, created and starring Robin Thede and executive produced by Issa Rae, presents comedy sketches performed by a core cast of black women, including Thede, Ashley Nicole Black, Gabrielle Dennis and Quinta Brunson, with guest appearances from Loretta Devine, Gina Torres, Lena Waithe, Patti LaBelle and Angela Bassett, according to the network.
