Epix Sets September Premiere Date for 'Godfather Of Harlem'

Epix has released a new trailer for its original series Godfather of Harlem, which will premiere Sept. 29, according to the network.

The 10-episode series stars Forest Whitaker as notorious Harlem gangster Bumpy Johnson, and follows Johnson's attempts to retake control of Harlem's criminal underworld during the 1960s after spending 10 years in jail, according to network officials. 

The series, produced by ABC Signature Studios, also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Giancarlo Esposito, Paul Sorvino, Nigel Thatch and Ilfenesh Hadera.
