XM Satellite Radio Signs Discovery

XM Satellite Radio Inc. said Monday that it has signed a programming
agreement with Discovery Communications Inc. to create a new national radio
channel featuring content from the company's Discovery Channel, Animal Planet,
Travel Channel, Discovery Health Channel and The Learning Channel networks.

'Making our programming available through satellite radio is a natural
evolution for Discovery,' president Judith McHale said in a press release.

XM plans to deliver up to 100 channels of digital audio to car, home and
portable radios.

The company has previously announced programming partnerships with other
cable networks, including Black Entertainment Television, C-SPAN and Cable News
