WorldLink Communications Inc., a major direct-response-television sales firm
serving Latin America, announced Monday the formation of a sales and marketing
team whose mission is to 'increase the DRTV industry's awareness' of the growing
potential of the Hispanic marketplace in the United States.
Los Angeles-based WorldLink's executive vice president of sales and
marketing, Dan Casey, said in a prepared statement that major advertisers are
already producing Spanish-language creative and buying Spanish media to reach
that burgeoning population segment.
If infomercial and DRTV marketers do not follow suit, he added, 'they're
missing a large segment of the marketplace.'
