BRAINTREE, MASS. - Commerce.TV Corp.
struck a deal to integrate its television-commerce applications into WorldGate Communications Inc.'s
interactive-TV service. The pact covers current WorldGate subscribers.
"Our CoreTVnet is compatible with today's middleware platforms and digital set-top boxes, so operators can begin generating returns on their digital investments today," Commerce.TV CEO Matt Kay said in a statement.
CoreTVnet offers more than 1 million products for purchase. Commerce.TV handles relationships with merchants and fulfillment houses, as well as back-office functions.
The companies expect integration issues to be resolved this summer, for deployment on Motorola Broadband Communications Sector's "DCT-2000" and other thin-client set-tops.
