Attendees at the upcoming MIP-TV show will be the first to sample Wine Network TV.
Entrepreneurs Patrick Brunet and Lorie Kim will introduce what they called "the world’s first and only interactive-television network dedicated to wine and the lifestyle of today’s wine enthusiast" at the confab in Cannes, France, March 29-April 2.
"We have been in discussions with key cable and satellite systems in the major international markets and look forward to launching Wine Network TV worldwide later this year," cofounder and president Brunet said in a release.
The network -- which, according to the release, has secured carriage agreements in the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia, and which is targeting the United States -- plans to launch this fall.
