WICT Southeast Names Red Letter Award Winners

The Southeast Chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications has named six members who will be honored with Red Letter Awards at a gala in Atlanta on Oct. 18, hosted by CNN's Kyra Phillips.

The 2011 Red Letter Award recipients are as follows:

Catalyst Award for Women in Technology: Monisha Longacre, VP of strategy and portfolio management, IT/The Weather Channel.

Horizon Award for Woman to Watch: Tamara Franklin, SVP of affiliate strategy and business development, Scripps Networks Interactive.

Inspiration Award for Woman of the Year: Mae Douglas, SVP/chief people officer, Cox Communications, will be honored for visionary leadership and having a milestone year that contributed to the evolution of the cable telecommunications industry.

The Mentor Award: Lawrence Toner, VP of operations, special projects and original productions, Turner Broadcasting System Inc, will be acknowledged for championing women's issues in the workplace and developing mentoring initiatives.

Rising Star Award for Emerging Leaders: Vicki Bodman, senior director of systems design and engineering, Turner Broadcasting System Inc., and Sandi Ionelli, executive producer and director of programming and branded entertainment, Scripps Networks Interactive.

Emmy Award-winning CNN anchor Kyra Phillips will emcee the chapter's eigth annual Red Letter Awards Gala at The Foundry at Puritan Mill, the historical Puritan mill soap factory built in 1921 and converted into a mixed-use facility, located in the dynamic King Plow Arts District of Atlanta. Phillips will kick off the evening at 7 p.m. ET.
