Werner Lands At Ad Shop
New York-Lloyd Werner, former executive vice president of sales and marketing at CBS Cable, has joined eMadison as executive adviser for national network television, officials said last week.
Werner will work with eMadison vice chairman and chief marketing officer L. Donald Robinson to develop the company's secure, online service for selling network television time.
The goal of eMadison is to simplify media buying though a Web-based infrastructure for negotiations, transaction processing and management. Clients wouldn't have to invest in proprietary software or hardware.
From 1981 to 2000, Werner held a number of executive posts at Group W Satellite Communications, which was renamed CBS Cable following Westinghouse Electric Corp.'s acquisition of CBS Inc. in 1997. Werner worked on sales and marketing for both TNN: The Nashville Network and Country Music Television.
He left CBS Cable after Viacom Inc.'s merger with CBS Corp.
