The Weather Channel Thursday launched Epic, a broadband-video site focused on the intersection of outdoor sports and weather.
The new site -- with the tag line, “Your daily shot of weather adrenaline” -- is a companion to Epic Conditions, a series debuting on the network March 4 with the same focus on the effect weather conditions have on surfing, snow skiing, mountain biking, whitewater rafting and sailing.
Video on the Epic site will be provided by Warren Miller Entertainment, which is producing the TV series. Visitors can watch clips of upcoming Epic Conditions episodes and also submit their own videos.
