Weather Channel Heads for PDAs

The Weather Channel and Mazingo Network Inc. announced Monday that the cable
network will now supply up-to-the-minute weather forecasts to millions of users
of personal digital assistants.

The companies, noting that this is a first for a cable network, said their
relationship will enable Microsoft Inc. 'Pocket PCs,' Palm Inc. products and
other PDAs to become mobile news, information and entertainment devices, rather
than mere organizers.

Mazingo -- a multimedia-software firm with mobile customers now numbering
75,000 -- said they can sign up for the new service via www.mazingo.net.

In mid-June, Mazingo and NBC announced that the former's mobile customers can
download free video clips from the 'Peacock Network's' new fall series, such as
American Dreams and Boomtown.
