Voom has chosen NDS Group plc to provide security and an HD-programming guide for its HD direct-broadcast satellite service.
Voom will use NDS' "VideoGuard" conditional-access technology and the vendor’s digital-video-recorder content-protection and storage technology for future DVR products.
The program guide is the first of its kind dedicated to HDTV, Voom said.
Voom parent Cablevision Systems Corp. uses NDS on the cable side for conditional access.
