Vonage, SkyFrames Let Troops in Iraq Phone Home

Vonage Holdings Corp. said Tuesday that it is joining SkyFrames Inc.’s effort to provide U.S. troops in Iraq with broadband telephony.

SkyFrames -- a provider of low-cost, highly secure satellite-broadband-Internet services -- will team up with Vonage to provide the United States Armed Forces in Iraq with the ability to call home via broadband telephony over a wireless-satellite connection during the holidays.

"We recognize the sacrifices the men and women of the United States Armed Forces are making in Iraq," Vonage chairman and CEO Jeffrey A. Citron said in a release. "As we move closer to Thanksgiving, we are happy to work with SkyFrames to provide them with the means to call their loved ones during the holidays."
