By MCN Staff published
Vonage Holdings Corp. is expected to announce a voice-over-Internet-protocol agreement with Mid-Hudson Cablevision Inc. Monday covering the MSO’s systems in Columbia and Greene County, N.Y.
A Vonage/Mid-Hudson co-branded service will be offered to both consumers and businesses starting at $34.99 per month, a flat rate for unlimited local and long-distance calling. Features include call waiting, caller ID and voice mail.
Mid-Hudson national accounts manager Dan Elwell said the MSO will now be able to offer video, voice and data service to subscribers. "The Vonage solution is a value-added service for additional revenue and a retention tool to keep customers happy and reduce churn," he said in a prepared statement.
Vonage now counts more than 75,000 subscribers.
