MTV: Music Television's 18th annual Video Music Awards ranked as the
second-highest-rated program among the network's core 12-through-34 demographic,
averaging a 10.6 during its Sept. 6 premiere.
The 12-through-34 rating was up 6 percent from last year's VMA
telecast, according to Nielsen Media Research.
